The Final Hours of Portal 2
Not only is this a fantastic work including features on the making of Portal 2, behind the scenes stories, videos and graphics (and a piece about Jonathon Coulton’s work on the ending song) but it is a shining example of what the iPad is all about, at least for me. It’s a full immersion reading experience.
The fact that it’s not just a story you can read on some site, but a full featured app is such a perfect use of the medium. The next time someone asks me “What is it you like so much about the iPad?” I’m going to show them this.

Point your laser there. No, there. No, THERE. Ugh, that’s the wrong color. THE OTHER TRIGGER. Where are you going? Well, how am I supposed to know you knew the objective already? WHERE DID YOU GO? Don’t go in there, no don’t jump i said DON’T JUMP MY GOD WHY DID YOU JUMP? I can’t ready your freaking mind don’t just jump ahead of me if you know what we’re doing. That bitch is lying, I am so much better at this than you. What do you think happens if I shoot a portal there then step on NOOO DON’T DO THAT DON’T GOD DAMN IT I SAID DON’T DO THAT. I’m not playing again. Let’s play again.
